Submission Guidelines

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Submitted manuscripts to the International Journal of Emerging Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IJEMRI) must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure clarity, readability, and consistency. Manuscripts failing to meet these criteria will be returned to the authors for revision.

Article Types & Format

Original/Research Articles

These articles should present novel, unpublished research findings, providing detailed explanations of the research methods, design, results, and conclusions.

Typical sections include:

  • Introduction: Describes the research background, objectives, and significance.
  • Methods: Explains the research design, materials, procedures, and data analysis.
  • Results: Presents the findings with appropriate statistical analysis.
  • Discussion: Interprets the results and their implications in the context of existing research.
  • Conclusions: Summarizes the key takeaways and potential practical or theoretical applications.

Review Articles

Comprehensive reviews summarizing the state of the art on a specific topic, evaluating major developments, trends, and challenges in the field.

Case Reports

Detailed accounts of clinical cases or unique phenomena, offering insights and discussing implications for practice and future research.

Editorials

Short articles written by the editor(s) or editorial board, often providing commentary on current trends, research, or journal-related issues.

Commentaries

Articles that critique, explore, or offer additional perspectives on published research or significant topics in the field.

Letters to the Editor

Brief communications addressing relevant research, findings, or journal content. These may be in response to previously published articles or to share new viewpoints.

Expert Opinions

Articles providing critical insights from leading experts on emerging topics, offering perspectives on current challenges or research gaps.

Perspective Articles

Articles that offer the author’s personal viewpoint on specific research topics or debates in the academic community.

Manuscript Structure

Cover Letter

  • Addressed to the Editor-in-Chief or Special Issue Editor.
  • Include the article title, statement of submission, assurance of no multiple submissions, and article type.
  • If applicable, provide details of any related presentations or prior submissions.

Title Page

  • Full title (maximum 130 characters).
  • Running title (maximum 75 characters).
  • Author(s)’ full names and institutional affiliations.
  • Corresponding author’s contact information (email, phone number).
  • Any clinical trial registry or grant details (if applicable).
  • Word count of the manuscript (excluding references, figures, and tables).

Abstract and Keywords

  • A concise abstract (maximum 300 words) summarizing the research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Include 3-5 keywords for easy searchability, listed in alphabetical order.

Manuscript Text

  • Structured according to the article type.
  • Citations should be numbered sequentially in the text and placed as superscripts.

Figures and Tables

  • Numbered according to the order of their citation in the manuscript.
  • Tables should be placed after the reference list.
  • Figures should be submitted as separate files in high-resolution formats (.jpg, .png, etc.), with clear legends explaining figure parts.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest to maintain transparency in the publication process.

Acknowledgments

  • Recognize individuals, institutions, or organizations that contributed to the research but do not meet authorship criteria.
  • Include funding sources and any medical writing assistance or conference presentation details.
  • Written consent must be obtained from individuals acknowledged in this section.

References

  • Ensure references are accurate and complete.
  • List references on a separate page, double-spaced, and numbered consecutively.
  • Cite references in the text, tables, and figure legends using Arabic numerals in parentheses.
  • Abbreviate journal names according to Index Medicus/Medline.
  • For unpublished studies, indicate the status (e.g., "in press").

Tables

  • Should be prepared using Word Table tools.
  • Tables must be numbered in the order of citation in the text, with references within tables adhering to the main reference list.

Figure Legends

  • Include at the end of the manuscript.
  • Provide clear, concise explanations for each figure part.
  • Number references within legends according to figure citations in the text.

Figures and Illustrations

  • Figures should be numbered based on their citation in the text.
  • Figures must have a brief title and be submitted in high-resolution formats.
  • Clinical images requiring patient identification must be accompanied by signed consent or must be anonymized.

Supplementary Materials

  • Include any supplementary material (e.g., datasets, multimedia files) that supports the content of the manuscript.

Submission Process

Initial Submission

  • Authors should ensure that their manuscript is suitable for International Journal of Emerging Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IJEMRI) before submission.
  • Submissions should be made via the journal's online system or by email attachment in .docx or .pdf format.
  • Manuscripts should include the cover letter, full manuscript, figures, tables, and any supplementary materials.

Exclusivity

  • Manuscripts submitted to International Journal of Emerging Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IJEMRI) must be original and should not be under consideration elsewhere.
  • Previously published content should not be resubmitted unless revised or corrected (as a corrigendum).

Peer Review

  • After submission, manuscripts will undergo an initial quality check for plagiarism and duplication.
  • Accepted manuscripts will undergo peer review, typically lasting 4-6 weeks, where experts will assess the quality, validity, and significance of the work.
